A resource for Adventure Riders

After my return from South America  I began a regular series in partnership with Adventure Rider Radio on riding skills and traveling skills for ADV riders. This is a new series and this page will be updated with a new podcast one to two times each month.  The podcast on this page have been edited to include only the interviews. For the full programs and the latest interveiw and information (which I highly recommend) click on the Adventure Rider Radio logo below

Videos and podcast

Nothing is as helpful as good video or a nice chat about a subject. Here are some of the items you can find on my Videos page How to change a tire on the side of the road Testimonials on mentoring other riders Selecting an adventure tire Motorcycle vs Auto - who stops faster How to videos I am working with (CMA) Creative Media Alliance out of Seattle Washington in 2016 to produce short videos to help educate riders and promote safety and education. Please come back and visit my site in the future for updates. If you have suggestions or ideas send me an email or message me on facebook
In this ephisode I discuss a concept I coined as the “weightless rider”. My goal when training riders is to teach them how to reduce the energy it takes to ride by showing “energy conservation” techniques such as when and how to stand, how to ustilize precise use of the controls and ways to reduce risk of injury, damage to your motorcycle and increase the fun factor 10 fold. This is the first of the riding skills series.
This is the first ephisode dedicated to riding skills and was the beginning of our series. I start with discussing the importance of detecting limits in traction and traction managment. This is one of the core skills I teach with beginning and expereince adventure riders
My second time on the show we discussed the importance of boots for adventure riders as well as the special considerations we have with heavy bikes
In our initial interview the host just wanted to undertand why or if adventure riders need training. Because of interest in this interview he asked me to come back on the show to talk about other topics… this is where it all started
