TRAINING POLICIES:
Our goal is to provide a personalized experience for you. If you need to reschedule or cancel a training event or tour, please let us help you by avoiding higher than necessary cancellation fees by letting us know as soon as you know you are unable to attend.

PAYMENT:
A full payment or deposit must be made to guarantee your spot in the course or tour. Payment plans are available up to 21 days before the start date for courses. Within 21 days of any training, the course must be paid in full at registration.

If you are offered a spot from a wait list, you have 48 hours to complete your registration and payment or your spot will be released to the next person on the list.  This time may drop to 24 hours if the class start date is within 30 days.

CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS:
Read below for course-specific cancellation timelines.
Refunds are not automatically processed due to limitations in the course software. Once you cancel through WeTravel, you must email us at motoguru@brettkacs.com to request your refund. Alternatively you can send an email directly to us to request to cancel and we will issue any refund of your tuition that is due.

The most frustrating situation is when a rider needs to cancel a few weeks or days before an event because of an injury or damaged motorcycle. In these situations, we seldom have enough time to sell your spot and are unable to issue a credit or refund. This is due to the considerable amount of time and money invested into preparing your event – transporting equipment cross-country, flights, lodging, food, and transport for instructors & staff, renting property, ordering food, etc. If you know someone who will buy your spot from you, please notify us so we can get the new rider registered in your place.

Because of a limited number of spots, a short training season and our goal to keep tuition low by minimizing profits margins, we cannot afford the financial loss that late cancellations cause. Please consider tuition insurance (through us upon registration) or trip insurance if you cannot afford the loss in the rare case you are not able to attend.

You may be able to get trip protection through the credit card you use. You may also purchasing trip insurance through companies such as Travelex or Allianz or Travel Insurance Services. We do not have an association with these companies nor are they an endorsement, just two companies many other companies that specialize in adventure trips recommend.

OUR ADVICE:
Late cancellations typically happen from a new injury or aggravation of an old one and/or wrecking your motorcycle before your event.  As you get ready to join us, please take extra care of yourself. Please don’t try practicing the skills you are coming to learn (that’s our job). We do recommend getting riding time to prepare for your class physically and mentally but focus on polishing the skills you already have.

ADV Training CAMP (and Challenge Training) Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel 91 or more days from your training dates, your amount paid will be fully reimbursed minus a $100 transaction fee. If you cancel between 22 and 90 days from your start date, you will receive a full refund minus the $500 reservation hold. No tuition reimbursement is possible within 21 days of training dates.

Due to our limited training season and small course roster; we encourage all riders to consider purchasing tuition insurance at the time of registration or trip insurance through a third party to protect your investment. However, you are welcome to find a replacement to fill your spot to avoid losing your investment into your riding skills. If we are able to re-sell your slot at full tuition, we will refund your full tuition paid minus your reservation deposit of $500.

Outride Training (Sunday School) Cancellation:  If you cancel the outride, you will receive a full refund minus a 15% registration guarantee.  You may cancel up to the night before the outride so your spot can still be offered to other riders who may want your spot.

Payment:  If you choose to make multiple payments, please note that we require full payment 21 days prior to the course start date. We will attempt to reach out to you via email, but if you do not respond or if full payment is not made, your registration may be cancelled and any tuition already paid will be subject to the cancellation policy.

 

ADV Training TOUR Cancellation Policy:
A deposit is required to secure your spot on the roster. Any registration made within 75 days of the class start date requires full payment at time of registration. Any remaining tuition balance is due 75 days prior to the start of training.

It is extremely difficult for riders to alter their summer plans on short notice, especially for a mid-week tour.  Cancellations most often go unfilled, leaving us in a very tight spot since hotel rooms and overhead expenses are a mostly a fixed cost and purchased well in advance.  Therefore, please read the following carefully:

  • Greater than 105 days (3.5 months) from tour start date: If you cancel, your deposit and/or payment is fully refundable minus a $100 transaction fee.
  • Between 105 and 91 days of tour start date: 50% of your deposit will be refunded.
  • Between 90 and 76 days of tour start date: You will receive a full refund, minus your deposit.
  • Between 75 and 61 days of tour start date: You will receive a 50% refund.
  • 60 days or less of tour start date: No reimbursement is possible.
Payment:  If you choose to make multiple payments, please note that we require full payment 30 days prior to the course start date. We will attempt to reach out to you via email, but if you do not respond or if full payment is not made, your registration may be cancelled.

International Tour/Training Cancellation Policy:
A deposit is required to secure your spot on the tour.  Due to non-refundable costs to hold your reservation with our partnering tour agencies, no exceptions to the cancellation policy can be made regardless of the reason for cancellation. We strongly urge you to obtain trip protection insurance if you are not able to absorb a total loss of your trip cost.
